Making Cuts : Basics in Video Editing For any Industry

Videos are one of the most efficient ways to get your story or point across! Learning the basics of editing video is as important in the Digital Media Age as formatting your written word. It is easy to lose your credibility if you create a video that lacks basic formatting, the same way a writer may lose credibility if their grammar is off.

Creating a compelling video, or being able to decipher what is credible or not by developing basic editing skills are important in any field. At some point of your career you’ll need a video, whether it’s for an interview, for your reel or portfolio, demos, sizzles, bios and so much more! While you may not  particularly care to edit video yourself, it is a good skill to have in your back pocket and also if you ever needed to hire an editor, you will understand the basic nuances and complexities of editing.

We will take a look at the importance of editing and also do a hands-on editing workshop!
